Our mission is to provide a great physical product with unmatched customer service. We employ diligent management of our portfolio to achieve this goal—always prioritizing improvement of our existing assets over acquisitions of new ones.

Through a disciplined acquisition, development and management strategy, we selectively pursue financially sound multifamily investments in stabilized and growth markets with a goal of providing passive recurring income for our investors. We employ a highly targeted investment approach, focusing only on those submarkets where we have vast institutional knowledge, leveraging an investment track record spanning 40 years. We apply our proven abilities to the acquisition, financing, development, management and marketing of each investment. We have an active presence in the market and continue to see favorable acquisition opportunities.

Investment Approach


Tradewind Properties was founded to acquire well-located multifamily communities with a genuine value-add component. The principals have a track record dating to their first multi-family investment in San Antonio in 1990. Tradewind Properties has the ability to be creative and flexible with new investments, however, our typical investment criteria are listed below:

    Well positioned primary and secondary submarkets in Nevada, Texas and Oklahoma; Tertiary markets evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

    Class A, B & C with deferred maintenance, upgrade potential and/or management deficiencies.

  • Units

    Number of Units: 150+

  • Valuation Basis

    Evaluate opportunities based on cap rate or price/door, as appropriate.

James Rastello


James Rastello has been involved with the sourcing, acquisition, financing, renovation and asset management of more than 9,000 apartment units. He has served previous roles at RB Associates (Director of Acquisitions), Halyard Capital (Private Equity Investment Analyst) and J.P. Morgan (Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst). James received a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a concentration in finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. In his free time, James enjoys running, golf, and skiing.

Natalie Rastello

Director of West Coast Operations

Natalie Rastello, Director West Coast Operations, previously served as a Portfolio Analyst for Lincoln Property Company’s acquisitions arm, a $2 billion portfolio consisting of office assets throughout the United States. Prior to Lincoln, Natalie worked with Citi Private Bank as an Investment Analyst in the Ultra High Networth Group. Natalie received a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a concentration in Finance and Real Estate from the Marshall School of the University of Southern California and an MBA from the ESADE Business and Law School in Barcelona, Spain. During her MBA she worked in the Innovation Group of Banco Santander in Madrid, Spain.

Tyler Ball

Director of Business Development

Tyler Ball, Director of Business Development and Construction, is responsible for sourcing investment opportunities , raising equity, and developing and maintaining relationships with vendors, clients, and brokers. In addition, he oversees the construction and project management. Prior to joining Tradewind Properties, Tyler was a Business Development Officer at Stewart Title, a fortune 1,000 company, where he managed client relationships and increased their commercial real estate market share on a national level. Tyler assisted with the closing of over 800 million in real estate transactions. Previous to Stewart Title, Tyler worked for Maxicorp Properties as a commercial real estate broker and head of construction management. Tyler received a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing and a minor in Communication Studies from Louisiana State University.
